Your Data Rights
Jopex Investment Ltd
Last updated: 25 June 2026
This page explains the rights you hold over your personal data when you use a Jopex product, and how to exercise them. Those rights come from the Personal Data Protection Act, 2022 and its Regulations.
1. The rights you have
Subject to the limits the law allows, you may ask to see the personal data we hold about you and to receive a copy of it; to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected; and to have your data deleted where there is no lawful reason for us to keep it. You may ask us to restrict how we use your data in certain circumstances, object to processing we carry out on the basis of our legitimate interests, and object to certain notifications. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting anything done before. Where it applies, you may also ask to receive data you gave us in a commonly used, machine-readable format, and you may complain to us or to the Personal Data Protection Commission.
2. Who controls your data
Who answers a request depends on the product and the situation. Where an organisation uses a Jopex product to manage records about its own members or customers, that organisation is usually the controller of those records and Jopex acts as its processor; to exercise rights over that data, contact the organisation, and we will assist it. For your own account information, our security logs, and your dealings with our support team, Jopex is the controller, and you can contact us directly. The Privacy Policy for each product explains which applies.
3. Making a request
Write to us at info@jopex.co.tz, or use the contact option inside the product, telling us which product and which right is involved and giving us enough detail to find your data. We may need to confirm your identity before we act, so that we do not disclose your information to someone else.
We aim to acknowledge requests promptly and to respond without undue delay and within the period the law sets. A request that is complex, or one of several, may take longer, and we will tell you if so. There is normally no charge; we may decline, or charge a reasonable fee for, a request that is clearly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive, and where we cannot act we will explain why and how to complain. You may contact the Personal Data Protection Commission of Tanzania at any time.
